In thе mаin hаll, еveryоnе wаs still соnfronting Yun Weishan аbоut her identitу.

Yun Weishan knеw сlеаrlу in hеr heart thаt if she made even a singlе mistаke, shе would fасе еternаl dаmnаtiоn. Shе felt аs if she were tееtering оn a single threаd over а cliff, desреrаtеlу trуing tо maintain hеr рaniсkеd brеathing whilе her mind rасed through Наn Ya Si's instruсtions to her.

Nо matter what hаррens, insist thаt you arе Yun Wеishаn.

She fоrсеd hеrsеlf tо cаlm dоwn, raisеd her hеad, and mеt Gong Shаngjuе's iсy gаzе.

Yun Wеishаn retorted, "Sеcond Master Gоng, may I ask whаt is inconsistеnt abоut mу identitу?"

Gong Shangjue, however, avoided the question and only said, "I have a few questions I'd like to ask Miss Yun first."

Yun Weishan nodded. "Ask away."

Gong Shangjue: "On the day you left home, did your family encounter any villains?"

Upon hearing this question, Yun Weishan breathed a sigh of relief, her expression visibly relaxing.

That day at the Yun residence, the originally sealed window of the room was suddenly broken open. A cold wind rushed in as Han Ya Si slipped into the room. In an instant, he had sealed the acupoints of the mother and daughter, and the maid was knocked unconscious by a hairbrush that was shot out.

By the time the mother woke up again, Yun Weishan, the replacement bride, was already dressed in her wedding attire with a red square veil covering her head, obscuring her appearance. Faced with a bride about to be married, no one would casually lift her veil.

She reassured the woman, saying they had only encountered robbers. Although some things were stolen, fortunately, everyone was unharmed.

After hearing this, the woman was deeply shaken, murmuring about how unsafe the world was and urging her daughter to marry into the House of Gong as soon as possible. And so, Yun Weishan was smoothly sent out of the Yun family.

It was not surprising that Gong Shangjue had uncovered this.

At this moment, all eyes turned to Yun Weishan.

Yun Weishan calmly stated, "...There was a thief in the house who stole some gold, silver, and jewelry, but fortunately, no one in the family was injured."

Gong Shangjue asked, "Then why was it never reported?"

Yun Weishan put on a troubled expression. "Encountering such an evil incident on the day of the wedding procession was already somewhat inauspicious. I was afraid the House of Gong would find it unlucky. Moreover, since my family members were not injured, it wasn't a major issue, so I kept it hidden." As she spoke, she turned to Gong Ziyu, knowing he was the only one who could help her, and deliberately bowed slightly in apology. "I beg the Blade Master to punish me."

Gong Ziyu immediately reassured her. "It's only human nature; I can understand." After saying this, he turned to Gong Shangjue, his expression slightly displeased. "Is this all you found? Such a trivial matter, and you claim her identity is inconsistent?"

Gong Shangjue narrowed his eyes, staring dangerously at Yun Weishan. "The guards of the House of Gong went to your hometown, Pear Stream Town. They showed a portrait drawn by an artist to the servants of the Yun family for inquiries. However, no one recognized your portrait."

His Green Jade Guard, Jin Fu, stepped forward, holding the portrait in his hand.

In Pear Stream Town, he had shown Yun Weishan's portrait to an old woman from the Yun family. But the old woman frowned and shook her head.

Jin Fu and the other attendants exchanged glances, all somewhat surprised.

Upon hearing this, Gong Ziyu looked at Yun Weishan incredulously.

The fact that the Yun family servants did not recognize her was utterly inexplicable. Yun Weishan's face suddenly turned pale.
