However, the guard did not continue reading.
That momentary pause made Yun Weishan feel her heartbeat had gone erratic.
After a brief pause, the guard continued reading: "Upon verification, Miss Yun Weishan of Pear Stream Town... identity does not match."
Yun Weishan suddenly experienced a ringing in her ears. Subconsciously, she turned her head and saw Shangguan Qian urgently mouthing to her: "Act!"
Yet, she couldn't move at all. Everyone's gaze converged on her, including Gong Ziyu's. His intense stare made her feel as if she were being burned. Apart from the increasingly loud buzzing in her ears, she could hear no other sound.
