Zhang Lu Rаng, who had beеn refleсting all the wау in thе саr tоdаy, was аlsо bafflеd.

"...Тhеn what is it?"

Zhаng Lu Rang: "..."

Сhаptеr Fifty-Four

She doesn't consider things for herself, so I'll consider them for her.

I've considered it. Sooner or later, she'll be mine.

No matter what, she's mine.

—Zhang Lu Rang

As the curtain of night was drawn down inch by inch, more and more pedestrians filled the streets.

The two of them walked forward along the bluestone path by the lake.

Su Zai Zai glanced at Zhang Lu Rang, who hadn't made a sound in a long time, and suggested, "Should we head back?"

Hearing this, Zhang Lu Rang scanned their surroundings and asked, "Are you hungry?"

Su Zai Zai patted her stomach and shook her head. "Not hungry."

"Let's go back then." After a thought, Zhang Lu Rang continued, "If you get hungry, I'll come out and buy you something."

She nodded, grinning. "Okay."

Zhang Lu Rang led her to the side of the road, hailed a taxi, and gave the driver the name of the hotel.

After getting in the car, Zhang Lu Rang didn't say much. His gaze was fixed out the window, his expression impassive.

Su Zai Zai leaned over and poked his cheek with her index finger. When he turned to look at her, she planted an appeasing kiss on the spot she had just poked.

Zhang Lu Rang's eyes were dark and bright, and within their brilliant light, something seemed to be surging, mixed with an unidentifiable emotion.

He reached out and pinched her fingers, then slowly began to speak.

His voice was low and raspy, full of solemnity. "Su Zai Zai."

Su Zai Zai answered subconsciously, her eyes on their intertwined hands.

After a long moment, she lifted her gaze to look at him.

"If there's anything I'm not doing well, you have to tell me." Zhang Lu Rang's gaze didn't waver in the slightest as he stared into her eyes. "I'll change it all."

He would get better, bit by bit, and become the person most suited for her.

That night, a tender love song echoed through the car.

The driver in front was waiting for a red light, tapping his index finger on the steering wheel again and again.

Soon, the light turned green, and the car started moving.

The surrounding scenery flew backward rapidly, a dazzling blur.

Su Zai Zai's attention was entirely focused on his words and his broad palm.

After a long while, she squeezed his hand back and smiled, her eyes curving.

"I can't think of anything."

What was not good about Zhang Lu Rang?

Su Zai Zai said, she couldn't think of anything.

After arriving at the hotel, the two walked to the front desk to check in.

Zhang Lu Rang gave his name to the staff member and handed over both his and Su Zai Zai's ID cards.

After paying the deposit, Zhang Lu Rang took the room key and led Su Zai Zai toward the elevator.

While they were waiting for the elevator.

Su Zai Zai stared at the constantly changing numbers on the display screen and suddenly asked faintly, "You booked a standard room?"

Zhang Lu Rang was about to nod when he suddenly remembered the words "be more proactive." He hesitated for a moment, then rubbed his neck and said, "Only standard rooms were left."

She hadn't expected him to lie, and Su Zai Zai couldn't help but stare at him for a few seconds.

Only when his expression started to become unnatural did she slowly retract her gaze and lower her head to hide a smile.

The two walked to their room.

Zhang Lu Rang swiped the key card with one hand, pushed the door open, and inserted the card into the power-saving switch by the door.

He placed their things on a nearby table and walked into the bathroom.

After setting the hot water temperature, Zhang Lu Rang came out.

Su Zai Zai was sitting on one of the beds, taking out her change of clothes.

Zhang Lu Rang stood beside her, only speaking after a long moment. "Go take a shower."

Hearing this, Su Zai Zai glanced up at him, then quickly looked away.

"You first."

Zhang Lu Rang didn't object. He walked over to his luggage, found his change of clothes and toiletries, and then went into the bathroom.

In the small room, only Su Zai Zai was left.

The bathroom door was frosted glass, and she could faintly see the silhouette of the person inside.

Su Zai Zai couldn't resist taking a peek before quickly sitting back down.

Listening to the sound of the shower coming from the bathroom, she swallowed.

Su Zai Zai looked at the bed she was sitting on, where her backpack still lay.

She thought about it seriously, and after confirming her idea, she dug out the box of things she had brought, took one out, walked over to the other bed, and tucked it under the pillow.

Satisfied that the spot was both hidden and easy to reach, Su Zai Zai contentedly climbed back onto the original bed to play on her phone.

Ten minutes later, Zhang Lu Rang came out of the bathroom.

He was drying his hair with a towel, water droplets still clinging to his eyelashes. His skin looked exceptionally fair under the light.

He was wearing a short-sleeved shirt and shorts. Probably because he had put them on without completely drying off, the curves of his muscles were faintly visible underneath.

Su Zai Zai's eyes went wide, and her ears instantly began to burn.

All her earlier bravado vanished without a trace, turning into a popped bubble.

She somewhat awkwardly picked up her clothes and headed for the bathroom. "I'll go take a shower then."

Zhang Lu Rang didn't know what to say either, so he lowered his eyes and continued to dry his hair.

Half an hour later, Su Zai Zai finished her shower and dried her hair. She took a deep breath and turned the doorknob.

Su Zai Zai dawdled down the step in front of the bathroom, turned her head, and saw Zhang Lu Rang with his legs crossed on the bed, leaning against the headboard and playing on his phone.

...On the bed where she had put her backpack.

Su Zai Zai blinked, and after confirming she wasn't mistaken, she dazedly walked over to the door and turned off the light.

Afraid that Su Zai Zai would fall while walking in the dark, Zhang Lu Rang leaned over and turned on the bedside lamp.

Perhaps because it had been used for a long time, the lamp's light was somewhat dim, making the room shadowy and indistinct.

Half of his face was in shadow, appearing obscure and unclear.

Su Zai Zai stood barefoot on the spot, the confidence she had to sleep with him instantly draining by more than half.

She was hesitating about what to do next.

The next second, Zhang Lu Rang spoke, his voice lazy. "Come here."

Hearing this, Su Zai Zai licked her lips and climbed onto the bed.

Then, she reached out and tossed the backpack from the head of the bed onto the other one.

Seeing her lie down obediently, Zhang Lu Rang turned off the bedside lamp and said softly, "Sleep."

His gaze returned to his phone, his focus on something unknown. The bright white light flickered across his face, carving his profile into even sharper relief.

The indignation in Su Zai Zai's heart suddenly flared up again.

She rolled over, wrapped her arms around his waist, and bit the hard muscle of his abs through his shirt.

Zhang Lu Rang let out a muffled grunt. His body stiffened, and his voice grew hoarse as he stressed, "Sleep."

Su Zai Zai pretended not to hear. She lifted his T-shirt, bit him again, and let her tongue circle over the spot.

After her provocation, Su Zai Zai yawned and replied to his earlier words, "Going to sleep now."

Just as she was about to sit up and pull the quilt from the foot of the bed over herself, the person beside her suddenly moved.

Zhang Lu Rang tossed his phone directly onto the bedside table, where it landed with a heavy "thump."

Before Su Zai Zai could react, his entire body was covering hers, his arms braced on either side of her ears.

In the pitch-black room, Su Zai Zai couldn't see his expression, only hear his increasingly rapid breathing.

It was scorching hot, filled with restraint.

After a long moment, Zhang Lu Rang lowered himself and asked in a raspy voice, "Are you scared?"

Su Zai Zai hooked her arms around his neck, licked his earlobe, and declared brazenly, "I'm scared you won't come."

Those words instantly shattered his rationality. Zhang Lu Rang lowered his head and captured her lips, sweeping through every corner of her mouth, tangling with her tongue, pulling and sucking forcefully.

His hands gradually moved downward, caressing every part of her body. It was as if he were scattering embers, igniting her inch by inch.

His lips slowly slid along the curve of Su Zai Zai's ear, nibbling it over and over again.

A flurry of soft kisses fell, his movements clumsy yet filled with a deep tenderness.

Zhang Lu Rang pushed her top up and pulled it off.

Su Zai Zai abruptly sat up, flipped over, and pinned him down.

Her upper body was bare. Gauzy moonlight filtered through the thin curtains, and the silvery-white light spilled over her, her skin like polished jade coming into Zhang Lu Rang's view.

Zhang Lu Rang's breathing grew rougher, the clarity and self-control in his eyes completely gone.

Su Zai Zai straddled him, clearly feeling the scorching heat beneath her. She swept the hair from her temple behind her ear with one hand and lowered her head to kiss his Adam's apple.

All the way down...

Zhang Lu Rang's hands clenched into fists. As if he could bear it no longer, he gripped her waist and pressed her beneath him again.

He kissed her lips once more, mumbling two indistinct words. "Don't mess around."

Hearing this, Su Zai Zai's dazed eyes widened slightly. She panted, "N-no, I've seen... educational materials and stuff... I can teach you..."

Zhang Lu Rang's movements paused. He half-knelt over Su Zai Zai and took off every piece of his own clothing.

Her head dizzy from the atmosphere, Su Zai Zai wanted to copy his actions.

Before she could even start taking off her pants, Zhang Lu Rang suddenly grabbed her ankle, gave it a hard tug, and bit the flesh of her calf, licking it delicately, leaving a mark, and moving inch by inch upward.

Zhang Lu Rang pulled off her pants along with her underwear and let out a low grunt, his voice raspy and seductive, thick with desire.

"Don't compete with me for everything."

Before she had a chance to speak, she was silenced by his stormy kisses.

Zhang Lu Rang's fingers slowly explored inward, his movements clumsy and gentle, feeling her softness and wetness.

Su Zai Zai bit her lip, enduring his assault. The fingertips she had placed on his back pressed down, tinged with pleasure.

His lips and tongue roamed every corner of her body.

His burning fingertips felt like they were carrying fire, searing her senses.

After a long while, Zhang Lu Rang forced himself to stop, not moving for a long time.

Su Zai Zai restlessly hooked her legs around his waist and called out coquettishly, "Lùràng."

He still didn't move, his muscles taut and hard as stone.

Su Zai Zai gathered a few of her thoughts, considered it hazily, then pointed to the other bed. "I put one under the pillow over there."

Zhang Lu Rang: "..."

He propped himself up on the bedside table with one hand, leaned over, and fished it out from under the pillow.

The interruption brought back a good deal of Zhang Lu Rang's sanity.

Two flushes of red appeared on his cheeks, and sweat dripped continuously from the tips of his hair, his arousal not diminishing in the slightest.

Zhang Lu Rang steadied his breathing and asked seriously, "Are you sure?"

His dawdling made Su Zai Zai so anxious she wanted to lose her temper. "Hurry up!"

Zhang Lu Rang's eyes were as black as ink, a tide of passion churning within them, surging forth.

He grabbed one of her legs, hoisted it onto his shoulder, and lowered his head. He kissed her forehead as if in reverence and said in a hoarse voice, "Mine."
