Chapter Ninety-Four

In Rakshasa Land, both Sen Yu and Yu Feng were elite warriors of their respective tribes. Their life-and-death struggle unleashed surging combat power above the land. Yu Feng, being over ten thousand years older than Sen Yu, held a slight advantage in Immortal Power. With a risky half-move, he managed to wound Sen Yu with his sword. At that moment, a surge of Divine Power cut through the air, shattering Yu Feng's immortal sword and pulling Sen Yu back from the fierce battle.

Hong Yi stepped out of the unicorn-demon horse chariot and advanced, his imposing presence naturally intimidating as he gazed at the assembled immortals.

"The Celestial Emperor has not returned, and Yuan Qi has yet to arrive. You are no match for me. Out of respect for Elder Xianshan's kindness toward this emperor, I have no intention of annihilating the Immortal Tribe. Lay down your immortal swords, allow me to enter the Heavenly Palace, and I will spare your lives."

"Preposterous!" Yu Feng, having just endured a blow from Hong Yi's Divine Power, had blood at the corner of his mouth but showed no fear. He stepped forward with his sword, shielding the immortal soldiers behind him. "Rakshasa Land is the final barrier of the Immortal Tribe. This venerable one will never allow the Demon Tribe to cross this place and defile our Immortal Realm. Immortals! Form the formation!"

As his words fell, the eleven High Immortals who had accompanied him leaped into the air without hesitation. Merging their Immortal Power with Yu Feng's, they transformed into an immortal net, firmly trapping Hong Yi within.

Hua Mo remained hidden behind the twelve High Immortals, unmoving. He had intended to assist Yu Feng in repelling the Demon Tribe in Rakshasa Land, but he never expected the Ten-Tailed Heavenly Fox, after ascending to godhood, to be so terrifying.

Sen Yu frowned. Back in the Immortal Realm, Hong Yi had been injured by this very immortal net formed by these twelve High Immortals...

Within the immortal net, Hong Yi's expression turned solemn. Crimson Divine Power gathered in his hand, and the Nirvana Wheel materialized in his palm. With a sweeping motion, he sent the wheel, infused with immense Divine Power, hurtling toward Yu Feng. Yu Feng served as the foundational cornerstone of the immortal net, his position the most crucial and stable.

Seeing Hong Yi target the heart of the Immortal Formation, the immortals were horrified and rushed to block the Nirvana Wheel's path. Three immortals at the forefront joined their swords in defense. However, Hong Yi's Divine Power had reached its peak. The three immortals were severely wounded, and even as their shattered swords struck the base of the Nirvana Wheel, they only managed to force it back half a foot.

Gripping the Nirvana Wheel, Hong Yi snorted coldly. "I am not the same as before. Do you think this emperor can still be trapped by you?"

As he spoke, his steps became swift and graceful. Holding the Nirvana Wheel before him, he strode toward Yu Feng at the very center of the Immortal Formation.

The immortals within the formation could not allow him to succeed. If the formation broke, the fifty thousand immortal soldiers outside would be no match for Hong Yi. With Yu Feng steadfastly holding the formation's core, the eight immortals within the formation linked head to tail, transforming into a colossal sword. They concentrated the formation's Immortal Power severalfold at its tip, meeting Hong Yi's Nirvana Wheel head-on.

A thunderous crash echoed as Immortal and Divine Powers collided within the formation, forcing both armies outside to retreat several meters. As the dust settled, everyone looked on to see the colossal sword now gripped in Hong Yi's palm. Seven High Immortals fell beside Yu Feng, vomiting blood, their faces pale.

Quan Lin, the weakest among the twelve High Immortals in terms of Immortal Power, knelt at Hong Yi's feet, an immortal sword held against his neck.

Hong Yi's expression was icy as he looked at Yu Feng. "You cannot stop me. Open the seal of Rakshasa Land, and come with us to the Demon Realm to stand trial. Otherwise..." His gaze swept over the fifty thousand immortal soldiers before Rakshasa Land. "Everyone here today will be buried alongside the Immortal Tribe."

"Hong Yi, how dare you!" Seeing the immortal sword in Hong Yi's hand press another inch into Quan Lin's neck, causing blood to spurt, Yu Feng was furious and enraged."What is there that I dare not do? Back when you invaded my Demon Tribe and forced my parents to fight to their deaths, I saw not a shred of mercy from you." Hong Yi's eyes were like icy springs as he spoke coldly. "Yu Feng, open the seal, or today before Rakshasa Land, I will spare not a single life of your Immortal Tribe!"

"High Venerable Yu Feng, you must not! Hong Yi! Do not think my Immortal Tribe has no one left!" The trapped High Immortal Quan Lin under the immortal sword suddenly shouted, lunging forward until his neck pressed deeper into the blade. He would rather have the sword pierce his throat, striking out with a palm toward Hong Yi.

The full-force strike of a first-rank High Immortal at the moment of death could not be underestimated. Hong Yi grunted, retreating half a step before waving his hand. High Immortal Quan Lin fell like a broken kite before the assembled immortals. When they looked, Quan Lin’s breath had already ceased under Hong Yi’s palm, his neck covered in blood, his eyes still wide open—dead with unclosed eyes.

"High Immortal Quan Lin!" Seeing Quan Lin’s tragic death, Yu Feng’s eyes nearly burst with rage as he leaped into midair, transforming into his true form—the immortal beast Bi Fang. His azure wings spread wide, nearly shielding all the severely injured High Immortals behind him.

The clear voice of the Bi Fang divine bird carried grief and indignation: "Hong Yi, you go too far! Even if I die here today, I will not retreat half a step!"

Yu Feng was the most senior High Immortal in the Heavenly Palace, having served Mu Guang, Feng Ran, and Lan Feng—a highly respected elder of three reigns. Seeing him reveal his true form to resist the Demon Emperor, the immortals were filled with worry.

"Even if you die, you cannot block my path." A flicker of complexity passed through Hong Yi’s eyes, but it was instantly replaced by cold hardness. He was now the Demon Emperor and could no longer show mercy to the Immortal Tribe.

The Nirvana Wheel in Hong Yi’s palm ignited with raging demonic flames, his thick demonic divine power enveloping all of Rakshasa Land.

The Bi Fang bird let out a long cry, gazing at the tragically slain High Immortal Quan Lin on the ground, its large eyes brimming with grief and indignation as faint flames gradually emerged on its wings.

The Bi Fang was originally a firebird immortal beast, yet it rarely ignited flames by its own power, for the fire surrounding it was extremely similar to the Phoenix Sovereign’s all-consuming blaze—immensely powerful but also the Bi Fang clan’s method of Divine Dissolution.

Seeing Yu Feng’s wings aflame, the other immortals were stunned, then overcome with sorrow: "High Venerable Yu Feng, you must not!"

The Bi Fang bird seemed not to hear, spreading its fiery wings as it recklessly charged toward Hong Yi. Seeing Yu Feng’s fierce assault, Hong Yi finally adopted a grave expression, the Divine Light in the Nirvana Wheel in his palm erupting as he met the Bi Fang bird’s fearless strike!

A deafening explosion echoed over Rakshasa Land. Hong Yi was sent flying back over ten meters by the peak High Lord-level Bi Fang bird, a trace of blood escaping the corner of his mouth. In his eyes burned raging fury and fighting spirit as the Nirvana Wheel firmly trapped the Bi Fang bird within its flames. The divine bird’s mournful cries were unceasing, and soon its azure feathers could no longer withstand the Nirvana Wheel’s scorching fire, collapsing weakly within the flames.

The immortals could not bear to watch. Just as the immortal fire on the Bi Fang bird’s wings was about to extinguish, an ancient black sword cleaved down from the sky. Vast Divine Power forcefully sent the Nirvana Wheel flying, and a figure flashed into the scorching flames, throwing the dying Bi Fang divine bird back into the ranks of the immortal soldiers.

That person, dressed in white with black hair, held a divine sword as he stood proudly before the immortals of Rakshasa Land, like a deity.

The immortals caught the human-formed High Lord Yu Feng, their eyes turning to the sword-wielding figure’s back. Their faces shifted from worry to joy as they exclaimed: "Divine Lord Yuan Qi!"

Chang Que appeared behind the white-clad Divine Lord, his expression filled with concern.Yuan Qi's gaze swept over the severely injured High Immortals and Yu Feng lying on the ground, then settled on the unseeing eyes of High Immortal Quan Lin. His expression darkened, and after a long pause, he looked at Hong Yi, his deep voice echoing over the Rakshasa Land.

"If I had known it would come to this, I would never have saved your life and brought you back to Great Marsh Mountain back then." Yuan Qi's gaze was icy. "Hong Yi, the harmony between the Immortal and Demon Tribes is the hard-won result of ten thousand years of effort. How dare you recklessly wage war for the sake of your own personal grievances!"

Hong Yi narrowed his eyes, looking at Yuan Qi without the slightest hint of wavering. "We of the Demon Tribe have always repaid kindness with kindness and vengeance with vengeance. A hundred years ago, the Immortal Tribe slaughtered my people, and now they have assassinated my emperor. Why should I not lead my army into the Immortal Realm to avenge my tribe? Moreover, Ayin risked her life to save me and ended up trapped in the Heavenly Palace, where you stripped her of her immortal bones and expelled her from the Immortal Tribe. Today, even if I have to raze the Heavenly Palace to the ground, I will bring her back to the Demon Realm." Hong Yi's expression was somber. "Yuan Qi, you may protect the peace of the Three Realms, but I only care about her safety. No one in heaven or on earth shall harm her!"

"I always knew that Water Condensation Beast was deeply connected to you. Back then, she kept insisting that you slaughtered Great Marsh Mountain because you were possessed by a Demon. But I believe you two had an illicit affair long ago, and she disregarded right and wrong, betrayed her sect, and sided with you! She is nothing but a disgrace to our Immortal Tribe!" Hua Mo, who had been hiding in the shadows, seized the opportunity to step forward from the ranks of the immortals and rebuke Hong Yi, much to the agreement and righteous indignation of the gathered High Immortals.

Originally, the immortals had thought the Demon Emperor had marched into the Immortal Realm to avenge Sen Hong. Little did they know he had come for the Water Condensation Beast of Great Marsh Mountain. They had initially doubted any illicit relationship between Ayin and Hong Yi, but now they couldn't help but suspect it. For the Demon Emperor to mobilize his entire tribe's forces to attack the Heavenly Palace, even at the risk of igniting conflict between the two tribes, Ayin and the Demon Emperor must indeed be deeply involved. When she released Hong Yi from the Heavenly Palace's Immortal Locking Pagoda, it surely wasn't because Hong Yi was innocent, as she had claimed, but because they had a prior affair, which led her to help him escape.

Now, with Hong Yi leading the Demon Tribe's army, severely injuring Venerable Yu Feng, and driving High Immortal Quan Lin to his death, the immortals were filled with righteous anger, inevitably blaming everything that had happened on Ayin.

Hearing Hua Mo's words, Yuan Qi frowned slightly and looked at the immortals. "Ayin privately released Hong Yi, and I have already decreed Divine Punishment. She will enter Clear Pond Palace. All past matters are no longer related to her. There is no need for any of you to speak further on this."

Although Yuan Qi was addressing the immortals, his cold gaze and oppressive aura fell upon Hua Mo. Hua Mo's heart skipped a beat, realizing he had angered Yuan Qi, and he said no more.

"Now that you are the emperor of your tribe, you are no longer just a Fox race prince who must avenge every grievance." Yuan Qi turned to look at Hong Yi. "Sen Hong's death is surely suspicious. Ayin is my junior sister, and her safety is not your responsibility to protect. Hong Yi, do not provoke conflict between the two tribes. Take your demon soldiers back to the Third Heaven, or I will no longer show you any leniency."

"Divine Lord!" Hong Yi had caused Lin Quan's death, and the Heavenly Palace's High Immortals were unwilling to let him return to the Demon Realm so easily. However, they also knew that as Bai Jue's son, Yuan Qi valued the peace of the Three Realms above all else.

"Not my responsibility to protect?" Hong Yi's expression grew even colder. "Yuan Qi, is stripping her immortal bones and expelling her from the Immortal Tribe your way of protecting her? Is choosing Hua Shu as the executioner your way of sheltering her?" He couldn't help but let out a cold snort. "Your protection and shelter would only lead to her death in the Heavenly Palace!"

The Nirvana Wheel in Hong Yi's hand ignited with blazing flames once more, pointing directly at Yuan Qi. "From now on, Ayin's life will be under my protection!"

Hua Shu as the executioner? Yuan Qi was taken aback and blurted out, "What do you mean, Hua Shu as the executioner?"The High Immortals nearby had not expected the Demon Emperor to know even the details of Hua Shu's execution of Ayin. They were well aware of how much Yuan Qi valued this junior sister and feared his mind might be disturbed by the Demon Emperor's words, breaking into a cold sweat in their anxiety.

Hong Yi was convinced that Yuan Qi had abandoned Ayin for the sake of the Immortal Realm and had no desire to exchange words with him. He directly summoned the Nirvana Wheel, unleashing eighty percent of his demonic divine power. Yuan Qi drew his Primordial Spirit Sword to meet the attack, and the two weapons clashed in fierce combat.

No one knew that the Nirvana Wheel relied on Hong Yi's demonic divine power to dominate the battlefield, while the Primordial Spirit Sword fought solely by the divine power within its blade from beginning to end.
