"They're trapped by an evil entity."
Chi Xue's reaction time was as slow as ever. After standing dazed for a while, he began to panic, pulling out his tattered book from his robe and flipping through it frantically while muttering, "Oh no, oh no, why isn't this mentioned in Master's book? We're doomed, doomed!"
"Where's Feng Yi!" The madam's voice grew shrill as the torch in her hand was extinguished by a sudden eerie gust of wind.
Throughout the graveyard, will-o'-the-wisps began to glow, drifting about with a blue phosphorescence. Being spiritually sensitive, Chi Xue could already hear the faint whispers of vengeful spirits.
"Ghosts! Are there ghosts?!" The madam's voice grew even more piercing.
As if answering her question, something above them suddenly blazed with brilliant light, instantly dispersing the will-o'-the-wisps.
It was the Moonlight Sheen Blade. Chi Lian had failed to restrain it, and now it hovered mid-air, emitting fierce radiance in response to the vengeful spirits.
Chi Xue looked up, staring blankly at the crescent-shaped blade for a long moment before suddenly slapping his forehead. "I've got it! I understand now, Master!"
"Understand what?! I'm telling you, your friend is already dead. If you can't figure out a solution soon, this girl will die too!"
"Elegant Confinement cannot die!" Chi Xue's voice suddenly grew loud, losing its usual softness as he leaped up to reach for the crescent blade in the air. "See? This is my clan's Divine Tool, capable of destroying all evil! As long as I hold it, I can definitely break through this evil entity!"
As he spoke, he managed to grasp the hilt. But the moment his palm touched the leather-wrapped handle, the blade violently shook free from his grip, sending him tumbling hard to the ground.
"I know, I'm not your master. I'm borrowing you now to save your master. Let's make a deal, alright?"
After struggling to stand up, Chi Xue looked up earnestly and negotiated with the blade before making his second attempt.
The blade resisted even more fiercely this time. Instead of tumbling, he fell flat on his back, landing hard enough to bruise his bottom.
His efforts proved futile as the snakeskin nearby tightened further, nearly crushing Ban Xia's spine.
No matter how hard Xuan Ye tried, he could no longer maintain breathing space for her. The two were pressed closer together, with Ban Xia's head completely against his chest. The air was nearly squeezed from her lungs, and she began to lose consciousness.
"Worthless!"
A voice suddenly rang out from above, clearly cursing Chi Xue with those two words.
A slender figure appeared, his long cloak billowing behind him in an extremely cool pose—none other than Comrade You Huang, the world's most handsome ghost.
"Worthless, every single one of you," he cursed again, spitting before lightly tapping one foot. His cloak obscured the moonlight as he soared up and seized the Moonlight Sheen Blade.
Chi Xue, sitting on the ground with a sore bottom, began flipping through his tattered book again. Halfway through, he stared wide-eyed and exclaimed, "You're an Asura! What are you doing with my clan's Divine Tool? Even if you're an Asura, you're still a spirit! Don't you value your existence?"
"You think I want to hold it?" You Huang landed, kneeling on one knee in an equally cool pose, and spat at him. "It's only because you, worthless fool, couldn't hold onto it."
"Huh?" Chi Xue stared blankly, still confused, when You Huang gripped the blade with one hand and thrust it straight toward Xuan Ye's face.
The Moonlight Sheen was a semi-divine clan's Divine Tool, capable of subduing all evil spirits.
As Chi Xue had said, even though he was an Asura, he was still a spirit. The blade tip had only pierced halfway when Moon Glow's struggle reached its limit. Its radiance scorched his palm, piercing through his hand, and in moments, nearly turned his entire hand into charred coal.
"Stupid blade, useless blade! I'm saving your master, do you understand?" He gritted his teeth, exerting force with his right arm to firmly press the hilt, finally tearing a gap in the snakeskin.
Xuan Ye's head and face emerged, his complexion deathly pale. After a long while, he finally exhaled and uttered, "Cut quickly! Below! Get her out!"
"Damn it all, shouting like that—I won't cut just to spite you," You Huang snorted.
"Cut now!"
In all his life, You Huang had never seen Xuan Ye so stern and severe.
"God damn it, I must have owed you from my past life—no, from all my past lives!" You Huang spat, clenched his teeth, and pressed the blade downward. Using nearly all his spiritual power, he suppressed Moon Glow's erratic movements and sliced a long opening in the snakeskin.
Ban Xia was finally freed, rolling out of the restraints together with Xuan Ye.
Xuan Ye couldn't move, so he remained in that position, holding Ban Xia in his arms with tender care, as if cradling all the treasures in the world.
The torn snakeskin immediately transformed into a red mist, scattering completely with the wind.
Chi Xue's butt still ached terribly, but he no longer sat still. Instead, he lunged forward, gripping You Huang's right hand tightly, nearly weeping with gratitude: "Thank you! Thank you! Thank you... Thank you for saving our Elegant Confinement."
You Huang grimaced in pain. After a few shakes from Chi Xue, his right arm suddenly snapped off like a dry branch, falling to the ground with a "crack."
Chi Xue was once again stunned, his eyes fixed on the severed arm on the ground.
The severed arm was blackened, truly resembling charred wood. As it hit the ground, it immediately shattered into pieces.
In just moments of holding the blade, You Huang had suffered such severe injuries—half his arm scorched and turned into nothing but a charred stick.
"I-I-I... I didn't mean to," Chi Xue stammered, his legs beginning to tremble.
"Whether you meant it or not, you have to compensate," You Huang said, though gasping in pain, he still couldn't resist teasing him, staring intently at Chi Xue's right arm. "I think your arm will do. Though it's not as handsome as mine, I'll make do and not be picky."
"I-I-I..." Chi Xue was speechless, blinking repeatedly, his mouth puckered high. Finally, he sighed. "Then... if I give you my arm, can you reattach it? If you can... then I'll give... give it to you."
"What?" You Huang burst into laughter. "What did you just say? Say it again, I didn't hear clearly."
Chi Xue's mouth puckered even higher.
"Ignore him," Xuan Ye finally spoke, his voice low, clearly addressing Chi Xue. "He is an Asura. His severed arm can regenerate. You can check your books. Come here first and help Miss Ban up."
Chi Xue uttered an "oh" and went over to separate them, helping Ban Xia sit upright against the tombstone.
Xuan Ye still couldn't move, his eyes lowered, his breathing intermittent, as if struggling greatly.
Ban Xia, however, recovered quickly. Supporting her aching back, she said resentfully, "That snake—did we just let it escape? I hate creatures like that the most in my life! Bullying women—what kind of thing is he!"
"He won't escape," Xuan Ye replied slowly. "I marked him earlier. No matter where he flees—to the ends of the earth—he won't get away."
"Then once you recover, we'll go together and destroy him.""You need not go. There's no need for unnecessary risks." Xuan Ye's voice remained gentle, his usual unhurried and kind tone, yet it brooked no argument.
"Very well."
At the foot of Guanmao Mountain, inside a cave, Su Yun spoke softly, her joy genuine: "You've finally brought a woman back."
"How is this woman?" Chi Lian said, sliding his hand over Feng Yi's soft chest, his fingertips lightly flicking, causing the pink tips to instantly stiffen. "See, her breasts are better than yours."
"Hmm."
"Her waist isn't as firm as yours, but it's slimmer." Chi Lian's hand drifted downward, embracing that slender waist as he immersed her in the hot spring.
"Hmm." Su Yun approached without a trace of jealousy, scooping up a handful of water to pour over Feng Yi's long hair. "Why aren't you screaming? Though he's cast a spell to keep you immobile, you should still be able to speak."
"Would screaming help?" Feng Yi looked at her, her eyes exceptionally clear. "Would you save me? Would anyone come to save me?"
"No." Su Yun's voice remained gentle as she scooped another handful of water and poured it over Feng Yi's shoulder.
The steam from the hot spring rose, gradually gathering around Feng Yi's naked body. Droplets slid down her waist, tracing a seductive curve over her buttocks before dripping into the water with a soft plink.
Chi Lian's fingers also probed downward, stirring the water, gently caressing deep within the curls.
Feng Yi stood rigid, biting her lip hard, refusing to let out a moan.
"Let it out. This is no disgrace."
Chi Lian curled the corner of his mouth in a faint, elusive smile, then ducked underwater.
Bubbles continuously rose from the spring's vent below. Amidst this effervescence, Chi Lian slowly descended to the bottom, starting from Feng Yi's toes with kisses, then moving upward until his mouth found her pearl.
Sucking, nibbling, teasing—his slender tongue, like the most knowing tentacle, delved deep into Feng Yi's body, ceaselessly stroking and twisting. Once he found the point of ecstasy, he madly tantalized it.
Feng Yi still clenched her teeth, but her body could not resist the pleasure. Her breathing grew increasingly rapid, pushing wave after wave of ripples across the water's surface.
"Can you let me go now?" Su Yun asked for the first time from the pool's edge.
Chi Lian remained submerged, seemingly without need for air, only intensifying his ministrations to Feng Yi's core.
The bubbles rose faster from below, as if echoing his fervor, string after string ascending to the surface, transforming into mist that caressed Feng Yi's body.
Feng Yi threw her head back, her peaks erect, finally unable to suppress her first moan.
"May I leave now?"
The second time.
Chi Lian still did not surface, his tongue probing deeper, writhing in the slick wetness, even extending a finger to stimulate Feng Yi's entrance.
Feng Yi gasped heavily, unable to resist reaching a hand into the water to steady herself on his head.
"Let me go."
The third time.
Chi Lian's tongue abruptly lengthened, piercing deep into Feng Yi's core with a violent shudder.
A crimson flower of blood instantly bloomed on the water's surface. Feng Yi felt no pain, only intense pleasure, a dizzying ecstasy lifting her to the clouds.
"Kill her. Let her soul accompany you for all eternity, and let me go."
The fourth time.
Feng Yi was on the brink, but Chi Lian halted his movements, suddenly surfacing with a splash. He turned to Su Yun, fixing her with his faintly hate-filled green eyes.
