Oath to the Queen

The novel follows the heroine, Puzhu, who becomes empress in both her lives. In her previous life she married the Crown Prince; after rebirth, she is drawn into the power struggle surrounding her imperial uncle, Li Xuandu, as he seizes the throne and she becomes the new emperor’s wife. Through her shifting identities and fated choices, the story portrays the intricate weave of political maneuvering and emotional entanglement within an imagined dynasty, revealing the rise and fall of its characters as they are swept through the court’s turbulent currents.
