Yun Wеishаn сlоsed her еуеs, аs if thе knuckles prеssing аgainst her Рulse Gatе соuld drаin аll hеr strength with just anоther inch of pressure. Тhоughts flashеd through hеr mind in аn instаnt.
In thаt momеnt, shе rесаlled hеr training sessions with Наn Ya Si in Wufеng.
When her sword wаs about tо strike Hаn Yа Si, hе quiсkеnеd his stеps, turned sidеwаys tо еvаde hеr bladе, аnd instantly sеizеd her Рulse Gate. Тhen, a sharр раin shot thrоugh her hand, cаusing hеr swоrd to fаll, оnlу tо bе сaught stеаdily bу Hаn Ya Si’s othеr hand…
Тhе suddеn movеmеnt Маdam WuJi had just madе overlappеd almost pеrfectlу with Hаn Yа Si’s, identiсal in every way.
A chill ran through Yun Weishan’s heart, but moments later, Madam WuJi’s expression had already returned to calm.
She looked at Yun Weishan, as if she hadn’t clearly heard her earlier words, and asked indifferently, “What did you say?”
Nameless?
Yun Weishan stared intently at Madam WuJi’s face, not missing a single change in her expression.
“No proof…” Yun Weishan replied word by word, “…no evidence.”
Madam WuJi’s brows and eyes twisted slightly.
Yun Weishan tried to free her hand and repeated, “I said, with no proof or evidence, why would Madam WuJi make such a claim?”
So she had said “no proof, no evidence.” Had she misheard that one word, “Nameless”? Madam WuJi’s gentle expression returned to normal, a smile reappearing at the corner of her lips, but her eyes remained sharp. “If you didn’t steal it, how would you know I lost something?”
“It was Jin Fan and Gong Yuanzhi.”
Madam WuJi finally loosened her grip on Yun Weishan’s hand, her long sleeves hanging low, composed and calm, a stark contrast to her earlier demeanor.
Yun Weishan continued, “They fought all the way from your room to the courtyard. Jin Fan loudly accused Gong Yuanzhi of stealing something from Madam WuJi. All the servants heard it.”
Madam WuJi slowly sat back in her chair, her gaze fixed firmly on Yun Weishan, remaining silent.
“Although I haven’t been in the House of Gong for long, I can see that there has always been conflict between Jue Manor and Yu Manor… This time, Gong Yuanzhi trespassed into your room. I’m afraid his intentions were far from good.”
As the Former Blade Master’s wife, Madam WuJi was decisive in her actions and dealings. She warned, “Matters within the Gong family are none of your concern. Do not speculate too much.”
But Yun Weishan disagreed. “Madam, now that I have entered Yu Manor, I will be the Blade Master’s wife in the future. My fate is tied to his—we rise and fall together.”
Madam WuJi saw that Yun Weishan was meticulous in her thinking. “How did you connect Gong Yuanzhi stealing from my room to the Blade Master? You are quite clever.”
Yun Weishan leaned closer to Madam WuJi and asked, “Is it truly unrelated to the Blade Master?”
Madam WuJi did not answer, a flicker of vigilance flashing in her eyes.
In Jue Manor, Gong Shangjue and Shangguan Qian were still facing off.
Shangguan Qian had already overheard their conversation, but now was not the time to admit fault. With a resolute expression, she met Gong Shangjue’s gaze. “Young Master Jue, since moving in, I have been trying my best to please you, doing many trivial tasks that may not align with your preferences. But I genuinely want to help you, to live up to my position.”
Gong Shangjue raised an eyebrow. “Quite the bold claim.”
