Qing Ye bit his shoulder, and he didn't hold back either, covering her body with marks. Their first reunion after a long separation was so intense it seemed like a life-and-death struggle, creating quite a commotion. Fortunately, the soundproofing in this apartment was decent, but even so, they ended up moving from the bed to the floor.
In the end, Qing Ye was thrown onto the bed by Xing Wu and completely KO'd. Sweat dampened her hair, which lay scattered around her in a seductive, beautiful mess. Her face was flushed, and her eyes shimmered with a soft light.
He simply carried her into the bathroom, turned on the shower, and leaned close to her ear, his breath gentle as he whispered, "Want me to help you wash?"
Qing Ye had no slippers, so she stood barefoot on the tops of his feet, her body leaning limply against him. Xing Wu tilted the corner of his mouth and took the showerhead. She glanced at the bite mark on his right shoulder, and suddenly her obsessive-compulsive streak kicked in—she rose on her toes and bit his left shoulder too.
Xing Wu hissed in pain and immediately sprayed water over her head with the showerhead. "Are you a dog?"
Qing Ye lifted her face, dripping with water, and glared at him. "Why do you even carry condoms with you?"
As soon as she said it, she noticed the suppressed smile at the corner of his lips and instantly understood. "When you sent me out earlier while buying water, was it to buy those? Did you bring me back just to sleep with me?"
She then rubbed the water from her face all over his. Xing Wu lowered his gaze, chuckling as he wiped the droplets from his lips—a casual gesture that exuded lethal sexiness. He reached out and slapped her firm, springy butt. "Didn't you want to sleep with me?"
Just as Qing Ye tried to step back, he gripped her waist and pressed her against his chest. "Don't you know that subconscious thoughts are the most honest?" His eyes held a teasing glint. "Electric little vibrator..."
That look was filled with blatant mockery. Qing Ye exploded on the spot, roaring, "Xing Wu, you're asking for death!"
She snatched the showerhead and aimed it straight at his face. Xing Wu didn't dodge, laughing like a bright sunflower, letting her drench him to her heart's content. Then he reclaimed the showerhead, his gaze pressing down on her as he said, "Had enough? If so, it's my turn now, right?"
Qing Ye's expression changed abruptly. She immediately closed her eyes and covered her face with both hands. But instead of the expected spray hitting her face, the water fell gently over her body. Peeking through her fingers at him, she saw him raising an eyebrow slightly, his eyes full of laughter as he said, "Silly."
Qing Ye lowered her hands and hooked them around his neck, suddenly turning serious as she asked, "Honestly, what exactly did my dad say to you?"
"Really don't remember. Didn't pay much attention."
Qing Ye said doubtfully, "Was my dad's talk especially harsh? Weren't you angry?"
Xing Wu, however, replied lightly, "Angry about what? He came all this way to give me money, and I should be angry? What kind of person would that make me?"
"..."
Instead, a slight curve tugged at the corner of his mouth. "To be honest, if I had a daughter in the future and she went to a friend's house only to get slept with by some guy, would I give him money? I'd grab a knife and go after him."
"..." Qing Ye was left speechless by his twisted logic.
Then she said, "Then why did you still sleep with me?"
Xing Wu seemed to have completely forgotten what he'd just said. He gave a roguish, mischievous grin and rinsed the white suds off her body.
He then took one of his own T-shirts and pulled it over her head, tossed her onto the sofa, leaned down with his hands braced on either side of her, and asked softly, "Hungry?"
Qing Ye's damp eyelashes fluttered slightly. A captivating smile spread across his face as he lowered his head to kiss her lips, then walked toward the kitchen bare-chested.Qing Ye tucked her legs under his oversized T-shirt, watching his busy figure with a satisfied smile curling at the corners of her mouth.
Xing Wu glanced back at her while boiling water, grinning as he said, "Dear benefactor, please retract your infatuated gaze."
Qing Ye simply walked barefoot to his back, wrapping her arms around his slender waist and pressing her face against the sexy hollow of his back. Xing Wu's smile widened further.
But then Qing Ye suddenly pouted, complaining, "You came to Q University without telling me, and even went to have dinner with some girl!"
"Well, after school started, you didn’t even ask me which university I got into, and you went to have dinner with some guy?"
Xing Wu turned to see her aggrieved expression, on the verge of tears, and couldn’t help confessing: "When your dad came to see me, the financing matter wasn’t settled yet, and I was still waiting for the second-round admission results. I was anxious every day and could only deal with him first, not daring to tell you. After the second-round results came out, the financing work kept me busy for almost two months. I didn’t have a single day off all summer."
"Finally, I managed to arrange everything and arrived in Beijing on the last day of registration. As soon as I got here, I was busy looking for a place to live and then going to the university. In this scorching heat, I couldn’t drag you around to real estate agencies, could I? I originally planned to settle in first and then stake out your place to see if there were any new guys around you this year. If there were, I’d beat them up and make them scram."
Qing Ye immediately punched him: "Screw you."
Xing Wu laughed: "Well, that’s true. You’re still hung up on my little motor—how could you possibly find someone else?"
He brought it up again, and Qing Ye flew into a rage: "If you mention that again, I’ll—"
"You’ll what? What will you do?"
He gave her a mischievous glance, and Qing Ye bit the back of his neck. Xing Wu didn’t move, letting her bite, and cheekily said, "Go ahead, bite me all you want. Who hasn’t tasted Tang Seng’s flesh, right?"
As he spoke, he rubbed the back of his neck, turned around, and pulled her off his back: "You really went for it, huh? If I hadn’t known that Qu Xing’s sister had a roommate named Qing Ye, why would I have gone? Did you think I had nothing better to do? With those few hours, I could’ve written more code to earn money for my wife—wouldn’t that have been better?"
Qing Ye was left speechless by his words. She suddenly remembered that day when she’d asked Qu Bing and the others to go to the restaurant first and not wait for her, but they’d insisted on waiting for her in the sweltering heat. Qu Bing would’ve felt bad making them wait, and if Xing Wu hadn’t insisted, they probably would’ve gone to the restaurant first.
She suddenly felt a pang of guilt. After he came to Beijing, she hadn’t helped him at all and had even thought he was deliberately ignoring her.
Qing Ye softened and leaned against him again, asking, "Then why did you have Du Qiyan transfer the money to me? And why not tell me where it came from?"
"With your temper, I was afraid you’d pick a fight with your dad."
"We already fought."
Xing Wu turned to her in surprise: "You fought?"
"Yeah, just yesterday. Remember I said I had something come up and was running late? That was because I went to fight with my dad."
Xing Wu put the lid on the pot, turned around, and pulled her in front of him: "What did you fight about?"
Qing Ye traced a little heart on his chest, smiling as she said, "I fought with him for being stingy. Next time, he should just give me a hundred million. What’s 200,000? It’s not even enough to buy the car I like."
Xing Wu suddenly burst into laughter: "Aren’t we being a bit inappropriate? It’s like we’re teaming up to scam your dad.""Exactly." She also smiled, her eyes curving into crescents.
The water boiled, and Xing Wu told her to wait. Soon after, he brought over two bowls of noodles. Qing Ye's eyes sparkled at the sight of the noodles Xing Wu had cooked. Over the past year, she had often thought of this particular dish he made, missing it immensely. She immediately picked up her chopsticks and started eating.
Xing Wu said to her, "There's nothing in the fridge, so we'll have to make do with this."
Qing Ye pulled her feet up, kneeling on the chair, and said, "This place of yours is so empty, there's really nothing here. You have a lot of things to buy."
Xing Wu curled his lips into a smile. "That's right. Are you free on Saturday? Let's go check out the home furnishing mall."
Qing Ye tossed her hair proudly. "I'm busy." Then, with a playful glint in her eyes, she grinned at him. "But I'm free on Sunday."
Xing Wu reached out with his long arm and pinched her cheek.
Qing Ye glanced at the two empty rooms and asked him, "But are you really planning to move the online team to Beijing? The costs are so high."
Xing Wu said thoughtfully, "I've been considering it for two months, and this seems to be the only way. After all, our performance doesn't rely on an offline team. Most of our future business will depend on the internet. You know the situation back in our hometown. If I want to grow, I need to find a way to recruit people here or learn and network with peers while I'm at it."
"Besides, my focus will be here during my four years of university, so I can't manage things from afar. The funding for Sunny Valley has just come through, and it's a critical time now. I need to keep the team close by. Fortunately, there are only a few core members, so the costs are manageable. I'll have to leave everything else to Quan Ya."
Qing Ye puffed out her cheeks. "I have a feeling you're going to be swamped with work."
Xing Wu immediately laughed. "Well, a Beijing girl isn't easy to marry."
Then he suddenly looked up and asked, "What kind of car do you like?"
"Huh?"
"You just said 200,000 yuan couldn't buy the car you like."
"I... was just saying that."
"Oh."
"Oh?"
Xing Wu smiled. "Never mind."
Qing Ye picked up her bowl and even drank the broth. Then she leaned her face toward Xing Wu, and he wiped her mouth for her. After that, he picked up the two empty bowls and took them to the sink.
Meanwhile, Qing Ye walked barefoot to the nearby storage compartment and saw several access cards inside. One of them had a small trinket attached to it. Xing Wu glanced back at her and said, "The one with the trinket is yours. Keep it safe."
Qing Ye flicked the card with her finger and dangled it in front of her eyes. "Why is there one for me?"
Xing Wu, while washing the dishes, turned his head and gave her a meaningful look. "What do you think?"
Qing Ye immediately felt a wave of guilt, her gaze shifting uncomfortably. Clutching the access card, she turned away and walked to the fridge, pretending not to understand as she opened it to take a look.
Xing Wu placed the washed bowls aside, wiped his hands, and turned to look at her. She was wearing his oversized white T-shirt, her smooth, fair legs alluring and captivating. Her slender ankles and bare feet, along with the soft curves beneath the T-shirt, were enough to make anyone's blood race with just a glance.
Over the past year, Xing Wu had noticed some changes in Qing Ye. He had just realized it—her body had become fuller and more voluptuous. If the old Qing Ye was youthful and pure, exuding a sense of forbidden innocence, now she had unconsciously gained a hint of a mature woman's charm. It was a temptation no man could resist.Faced with such an enticing woman he had longed for, how could Xing Wu let her go after just one round? He strode directly toward her, shut the refrigerator door, pinned her against it, lifted her leg, and took her right there.
Qing Ye’s voice broke as she cried out, “Xing Wu…”
The overwhelming sensation instantly swallowed her whole, leaving her unable to form a single coherent sentence.
He tirelessly moved her from the wall to the table, then tumbled her onto the sofa. Qing Ye, pitiful and helpless, was mercilessly tormented by him until her consciousness descended into utter chaos.
After it was over, she collapsed onto Xing Wu, exhausted, and fell asleep.
When she woke with a start, it was already past ten, and the space beside her was empty. She was instantly bewildered and called out for Xing Wu, but no one answered.
As she hurriedly dressed, she couldn’t shake the feeling that everything that had happened that night felt surreal. It was only their second meeting since Xing Wu came to Beijing, and they had spent such a wild night together. She didn’t even remember how she had fallen asleep, only to wake up and find him gone. What the hell?
While Qing Ye rushed out of the apartment and sprinted back to her dorm, she finally received a call from Xing Wu. As soon as the call connected, he asked, “Are you awake? I’ll come pick you up and take you back to campus. Any later and you won’t be able to get into your dorm.”
Gasping for breath, Qing Ye replied, “No need, I’m already on my way. Where did you run off to?”
“I went to a fun English activity.”
“???”
Furious, Qing Ye hung up on the spot. What kind of superhuman was he? After going at it like they had, he was off attending team-building activities as if nothing had happened? She had woken up thinking she must have been sleepwalking or something!
Remembering how, in her dazed state, he had pressured her into repeatedly saying “I love you” and even “husband,” Qing Ye felt as if a bucket of cold water had been dumped over her. A surge of frustration lodged in her chest, making her feel as though she had been drugged—like the noodles she’d eaten were poisoned.
