You Mingxu didn't answer, lowering her head to try twisting open the water bottle, but surprisingly couldn't budge it. She had never felt this weak in her life. Yin Feng saw this, smiled, walked over to take the bottle, and opened it for her. When You Mingxu reached out to take it, he avoided her hand, saying, "Aren't your hands weak?"
Holding the bottle, he brought it to her lips. You Mingxu didn't want to drink: "Get lost..." Before she could finish, the bottle's mouth pressed against her lips. Caught between drinking or not, but ultimately too thirsty and unwilling to argue with him, she opened her mouth.
He fed her several sips before setting the bottle down. You Mingxu said coldly, "Who was that person?"
Yin Feng replied, "You'll know soon." He raised his hand, using his thumb to wipe away the water stain at the corner of her mouth. Still resentful, You Mingxu opened her mouth and bit him. He didn't dodge or flinch, staring at her as she bit down. Of course, she couldn't actually bite his finger off, so she exerted force secretly. But even her jaw felt weak, and she spat it out with a "Pfft." He lowered his hand and chuckled.
Surprisingly, Yin Feng took off his shoes and sat back on the bed.
You Mingxu: "What are you doing?"
Yin Feng casually unbuttoned two buttons of his shirt and answered, "He not only spied but also recorded my 'criminal process' with his phone. After 'killing' you, I was filled with remorse. As a psychopath, I'd definitely hold the corpse and sleep with it overnight. So I can't show myself upstairs now. But by tomorrow morning at the latest..."
His eyes darkened: "Given our vigilance and methods, we'll definitely dispose of your 'corpse.' And since he's obtained my 'evidence,' he'll surely report to them and decide the next step before the key evidence—the 'corpse'—disappears. Once they grasp this fatal leverage, they can control me in the future. This temptation is too great. Even if he suspects this setup, he'll take the risk and act."
You Mingxu had to admit his reasoning was highly persuasive.
"So what we do next is wait?"
Yin Feng had already lain down and nodded: "The villa's local network is highly encrypted. Chen Feng and I have absolute authority and can monitor all traces. He can't contact the outside via the network—he wouldn't dare. So he'll find a chance to slip out of the villa and go to them. Once he makes a move, we'll follow."
"Alright."
Since they had to wait and he had taken the bed, You Mingxu thought about getting up to move around when he wrapped an arm around her waist and pulled her down to lie beside him.
You Mingxu: "What now?"
Lying side by side, his face was very close, his expression still calm but his eyes profound. He said, "Don't disturb me. I've been acting for so long and taken so many hits from you—I'm a bit tired. You also need to sleep and regain your strength. When we wake up, there's a tough battle ahead."
You Mingxu had been drugged, fought, and made hoarse accusations. With the drug's effects not fully worn off, his words made her acutely aware of her extreme fatigue. She never fought her body's needs, so she turned over, facing away from him, and closed her eyes.
He said nothing more, only his even breathing sounded by her ear.
Drowsy and on the verge of sleep, You Mingxu suddenly felt a weight on her waist. Opening her eyes, she saw Yin Feng's hand resting there. Annoyed, she grabbed his hand and tossed it aside. He didn't react at all, so she stayed silent.
But after a while, the hand returned to her waist. His voice was slightly hoarse: "Go to sleep. Otherwise, I'll scoop you right over."
You Mingxu's limbs were still weak, but she gritted her teeth and lifted his arm to toss it aside.
After a while, he draped it over her again.
After several repetitions, You Mingxu finally couldn't hold on any longer and fell into a deep sleep. Some time later, Yin Feng slowly opened his eyes behind her, moved closer, his arm still wrapped around her waist, pressing her back firmly against his chest. He buried his face in her long hair and cheek from behind, then closed his eyes and fell asleep.
