In this world, the different will always be different.
Those of the same kind will always find each other.
Though in the eyes of the world, especially in the eyes of the police, Yin Feng was seen as successful, upright, and mature—albeit with occasional eccentricities.
Now, however, he had fractured, giving rise to a personality of utmost innocence. That personality had fallen in love with a righteous female police officer on his behalf.
And he had fallen in love with her too.
Then he raped her.
Somehow, this woman had awakened early and unexpectedly glimpsed his most deeply hidden secret.
And then, she had judged him guilty.
...
Wei Lan pondered for a moment and said, "Notify Chen Feng immediately, then you go stand guard downstairs. I'll stay here. I'm afraid something else might happen."
Xiao Yan gritted her teeth and nodded before heading downstairs.
About ten minutes later, as Wei Lan stood guard outside the master bedroom, he suddenly heard noises from outside the building, along with faint voices. His heart jolted, and he saw the master bedroom door swing open violently. Yin Feng had a prominent bruise on his face, one cheek swollen. His expression was icy cold as he rushed downstairs.
Wei Lan chased after him. "What happened? Where is she?"
Yin Feng gnashed his teeth. "She jumped out the window. Is anyone outside stopping her?"
Wei Lan replied, "Yes."
The two hurried outside. Suddenly, the entire garden was bathed in bright light—someone had turned on a searchlight, revealing everything in plain sight. They clearly saw two figures grappling on the path ahead: none other than You Mingxu and Xiao Yan.
Normally, Xiao Yan was no match for You Mingxu, but today she was clearly weakened, not yet recovered, and having jumped from the second-floor balcony, one of her legs was stiff and uncooperative. She was trapped, unable to break free from Xiao Yan's grasp.
Yin Feng stared fixedly at that stubborn, unyielding figure ahead, his gaze growing even darker. Within that darkness surged an even more intense desire. He said to Wei Lan, "Call Tuya. Xiao Yan can't hold her."
Wei Lan looked up. Not only Tuya, but Lao Jiu, Chen Feng, and Guan Jun were all there too. Hearing the commotion, they had emerged from various parts of the villa and stood at the edge of the flowerbeds, watching silently.
Seven men.
No, seven psychologically disturbed criminals, surrounding one female police officer.
The thought flashed through Wei Lan's mind, bringing with it an inexplicable excitement—a powerful impulse to destroy something. And what about Yin Feng? Did he feel it too?
Wei Lan signaled to Tuya in the distance.
Tuya stood still for a few seconds before stepping into the circle. Within a few moves, he had pinned You Mingxu's arms, rendering her immobile.
Yin Feng’s eyes narrowed as he noticed she was still wearing the shirt he had changed her into earlier, her legs exposed. He strode over quickly. The others, seeing this, slowly followed.
With things having escalated to this point, everyone understood clearly: this matter could no longer be covered up.
What would Yin Feng decide to do next?
After struggling so intensely, the effects of the drug seemed to be taking hold again. You Mingxu appeared dazed, her face flushed once more, and she began to slump toward the ground. Tuya quickly caught her to prevent her from falling.
Yin Feng took off his bathrobe, wrapped her completely in it, lifted her into his arms, and turned to head back inside.
Lao Jiu spoke up, "Teacher Yin, does she know?"
Yin Feng’s steps halted.
Chen Feng frowned, his gaze toward the person in Yin Feng’s arms turning cold, yet also tinged with pity.Guan Jun said, "Teacher Yin, why not hand her over to me? I can make sure she never speaks again."
Chen Feng snapped, "Nonsense! She's a policewoman. If anything happens to her, we'll all be implicated, and even Teacher Yin won't be able to escape blame! Not to mention..." He trailed off, leaving his words unfinished.
Tuya spoke up, "She's a good person! Teacher Yin, don't do something you'll regret later!"
Yin Feng coldly retorted, "Shut up!"
Xiao Yan's face was also deathly pale, and she softly echoed Tuya's words, "Teacher Yin, don't do something you'll regret."
Yin Feng turned his head, his gaze sweeping coldly across the room, and said, "This is between her and me. None of you are allowed to interfere or follow." Then he stared at the woman in his arms, murmuring as if to himself, "You said you wanted to leave me, said you'd investigate me, accuse me of rape. But how could you ever leave me?" He lowered his head, tightened his embrace, and carried her back into the house.
When he reached the stairs, he paused momentarily before turning and heading toward the basement.
Those outside the house watched his direction in silence.
In all the years they had followed Yin Feng, they had never seen him commit a crime. He had even restrained them, striving to act like normal people, because he often said: William James, the father of American psychology, once stated that to become the person you want to be, you must first act like that person.
But this didn't mean Yin Feng lacked the capacity for crime.
In the basement, he had a crime simulation room filled with various mannequins, an array of criminal tools, and prison cages.
Alone, he carried You Mingxu there, forbidding anyone from following.
——
When You Mingxu woke again, her head throbbed intensely, and her entire body ached unbearably. She knew it was the aftereffect of the drugs.
She glanced around—the place resembled a basement, windowless and devoid of any sunlight.
But the surroundings were undeniably horrifying. Several life-sized mannequins stood against the wall, male and female, old and young, their faces stiff in a way only dolls could be, yet their colors were vivid and lifelike.
They were all staring at her.
You Mingxu's heart shuddered.
One wall was covered with an assortment of items: knives of various sizes, a chainsaw, ropes, an electric drill, and a transparent box containing dissection scalpels. All gleamed faintly under the fluorescent light.
You Mingxu struggled to sit up but found it impossible. Metallic clinks echoed from her wrists and ankles—four chains with iron rings held her firmly to the large bed. No matter how skilled she was in combat, escape was out of the question.
She glanced at her ankle, which she had sprained when jumping from the building earlier. It had been carefully treated with medicine and bandaged, emitting a cool, soothing sensation.
She shook the chains forcefully, creating a series of clattering noises, and shouted in a hoarse voice, "Is anyone there! Yin Feng! Yin Feng, get out here!"
No one responded. The dungeon remained utterly silent.
You Mingxu yelled for a while longer until exhaustion overwhelmed her, and she collapsed back onto the bed in despair.
She had no idea how long she had slept or what time it was now. Her phone and personal belongings were all missing. She was still wearing Yin Feng's shirt, covered by a blanket.
About half an hour later, familiar footsteps sounded on the stairs. You Mingxu turned her head to watch the man slowly descend.
Yin Feng had changed into a fresh shirt and dress pants. The white light cast over him made him appear cold, gloomy, and strikingly handsome. You Mingxu stared fixedly at him.
He walked over slowly, sat down by the bed, and reached out to touch her face. You Mingxu turned her head away to avoid it.
Then he simply grabbed her chin firmly, squeezing until it hurt, forcing her to look at him. He lowered his head and placed a gentle kiss on her forehead, murmuring, "A Xu, what am I going to do with you?"
